Well, here we are. Another damn breakfast episode.
I swear, next season I’m filming in the afternoons like a civilized human being. But that’s a problem for future me. Right now, I’ve still got two more episodes to squeeze out for 2025.
This episode helped me dial in how I want these shows to flow. Break everything down into its parts—technique, process, theory—then pull it all together at the end. That way I can walk through the basics one by one, then show how they play nice together on the plate.
Makes sense, right?
Editing this one was a bit of a beast, though. Having my butthole re-engineered five days after filming didn’t exactly make long editing sessions a joyride. Sitting still for hours was not ideal. But it’s done.
Not sure when I’ll be filming the last two episodes. If all goes well, I'll shoot mac & cheese on August 16, and fire off the “Chicken Fried Breakfast” finale on Labor Day (Labrador) weekend.
I want to knock those out so I can spend the fall focused on dropping some weight before the holidays hit like a gravy-covered freight train. I’ll still be putting out content during that time, mostly short-form stuff for social. I have zero interest in being an “influencer,” but I need to dip a toe into that world. The day job’s starting to show some cracks, and I may have to make some tough calls when the year wraps.
Oh, shit! Foreshadowing!
So while we wait to find out what fresh hell awaits, maybe go cook something.
